 Deleting Tickets

ADefHelpDesk does not provide an administrative screen to delete Tickets, but you can delete them manually.

Log in as the Host account, and from the Host menu, select SQL.

Paste the following script in the window.

Replace all instances of *TaskID* with the TaskID that you want to delete.

Check the Run as Script box and click the Execute link.

 

DELETE FROM ADefHelpDesk_Log
WHERE     (TaskID = *TaskID*)
GO
DELETE FROM ADefHelpDesk_Attachments
FROM         ADefHelpDesk_Attachments INNER JOIN
                      ADefHelpDesk_TaskDetails ON ADefHelpDesk_Attachments.DetailID = ADefHelpDesk_TaskDetails.DetailID
WHERE     (ADefHelpDesk_TaskDetails.TaskID = *TaskID*)
GO
DELETE FROM 
      ADefHelpDesk_TaskDetails
WHERE     (TaskID = *TaskID*)
GO
DELETE FROM 
     ADefHelpDesk_TaskCategories
WHERE     (TaskID = *TaskID*)
GO
DELETE FROM ADefHelpDesk_Tasks
WHERE     (TaskID = *TaskID*)

 

The Task will now be deleted.
