 Search Existing Tickets

All Registered Users are able to access the Existing Tickets by clicking the Existing Tickets button. Users will only have the ability to search for Tickets they are authorized to see. The rules to determine Ticket visibility are:

  • The User is the Ticket Requestor
  • The User is in the group the Ticket is assigned to
  • The User is in the group that is designated as the Administrators group

All users who are not Anonymous have access to the Existing Tickets screen and are able to search using the following search criteria:

  • Status - All, New, Active, On Hold, Resolved, Cancelled. Tickets can also be sorted by Status by clicking on the Status header.
  • Priority - All, Normal, Low, High. Tickets can also be sorted by Priority by clicking on the Priority header.
  • Due - Entering a date here will display Tickets that are Due on the date entered or greater. Tickets can also be sorted by Due date by clicking on the Due header.
  • Created - Entering a date here will display Tickets that are Created on the date entered or greater. Tickets can also be sorted by Created date by clicking on the Created header.
  • Assigned - All, (a list of all possible roles that have ever had a Ticket assigned to them). Tickets can also be sorted by Assigned by clicking on the Assigned header.
  • Description - Tickets can be sorted by Description by clicking on the Description header.
  • Requestor - Tickets can be sorted by Requestor by clicking on the Requestor header.
  • Ticket or Search Text - Entering a Ticket number or search text will retrieve Tickets that contain the text in either the Ticket Description or Ticket Comments.
  • Search Tags - Checking a Tag will only retrieve Tickets that have that Tag. Checking multiple Tags will only retrieve Tickets that have all the Tags indicated.

The Search button must be pressed to perform the Search.
